A little of what is waiting for you
Take a breath. Try a sentence. Feel the difference. This is a small taste of how we learn together on the day.
A deliberate pause gives your audience a moment to take in the idea. Watch the space between the words.
You do not need to fill every silence
A comfortable breath can help you slow down and speak with intention. Let your shoulders settle before you begin.
Relax your shoulders
Take a comfortable breath
Begin at your own pace
Begin with something your audience cares about. A small change can make your first sentence work harder.
“I will try to keep this brief”
“One decision changed how we sell. Let me show you”
Lead with the value of listening
The programme
From preparation to delivery, build on the fundamentals in Temi’s Own the Stage training: know your audience, shape your message and put it into practice.
Research your audience, define your goal and organise your thoughts before you step into the room.
Challenge the myths about public speaking and practise ways to approach the moment with confidence.
Give your ideas a clear structure and use storytelling to make your message meaningful and memorable.
Explore vocal modulation, pace and language so the way you speak supports what you want to say.
Bring listening, emotional intelligence and body language together to connect and adapt as you speak.
Rehearse your delivery, work through a practical speaking exercise and use feedback to refine your approach.
